Quarter 4 Blog Post 7

In the story Michael was finally getting to under stand the way Kane had built he firewall, but it was still difficult for him and his friends to under stand to crack the codes. If it was a little easy for them it would be really helpful to tell if there traps hidden and they're wandering towards them. In the portal its a maze which Michael and his friends need to solve on they're own to find where Kane is hiding at.

Michael was able to look between the lines to find out what the riddles mean in order to get closer towards Kane. Each riddle has is own portal that they need to choose carefully or they die. When they die they can't re-enter back where they found the portal. The portal has a code where when someones dies, they can't find it in the same location. For this reason they like to back each other so they wouldn't die and proceed to find Kane.

Quarter 4 Blog Post 6

In the story Michael and his friends had found the portal leading to Kane. They had to first pass the players in Devils of Destruction to get where they need to go. Michael kept dying in the game so it took him longer to find the portal. One of his friends were to the first to notice the portal in the trench and they all met together hoping they wouldn't die again and spawn in the beginning to look for each other again.

Michael was determined to find Kane's portal. He had died in Devils of Destruction many times but he never gave up looking for the portal with his friends. He knows that if he doesn't look for the portal that leads closer to Kane, everyone in the game will be killed in both worlds and Michael wants to stop Kane.

Quarter 4 Blog Post 4

Michael and his friends were tracked and where force to work with the Agents who built the VetNet to look for a certain hacker. This hacker went by the name of Kaine. Kaine was killing people by murdering them in the VertNet and not letting them awake form the game. This led to to go insane and start to not trusting anyone around them.

Michael had to look for clues for where was Kaine was hiding at. Nobody knows where he was hiding but they all know that he was a hacker who nobody wants to meet with. When they do meet Kaine he appears as a glowing orb hovering over them so no one will know identify him. Michael needs to look for clues and investigate where was Kaine was hiding so they could stop what he's after and what was his purpose.

American Indian Rights

Paragraph 1:

How were American Indians (Native Americans) marginalized (pushed aside in society) and made to feel as if they didn’t exist?  Use text evidence from “Would We Be Killed?” to support your answer.  Don’t forget to explain your evidence and how it supports your claim.

American Indians were marginalized by Settlers who came to America tried to take their land from the American Indians. American Indians were losing their homes and their food to live, so American Indians started to shrink by population. American Indians were also forced to send their kids to boarding school and there they tried to make them forget their heritage and be more civilized. The settlers tried to kill in Indian and save the man. The settlers thought that this will help the American Indians survive.

Paragraph 2: 
What is the purpose of Shanice Britton’s essay? What does she want the readers to know about her and Native Americans living today?

Shanice's essay wanted the readers know that people have a miss conception about American Indians on how the way they live. She wanted to inform them the way they live and what they do for a living. She gave a brief summary of her life on the Reservation. The traditions they celebrated and the way they supported each other. She also finds her classmates heritage interesting too.

Quarter 4 Blog Post 3

In the story it takes place in the in the future were people can be in machines in a mental state. The a  machine was built to allows gamers to play with each other and interact. Michael who plays with his friends on the gaming machine called the VertNet meet each time when they come out of school and hangout. They been playing since the VertNet was first introduced to the world.

Michael is a teenage high-school kid who spends his free time playing on the VertNet with his friends. They like to hangout with each other and enjoy playing on the VertNet.  Michael likes to joke around with his friends and is adventurous. He also likes to help with other peoples problems and try to help them to overcome what worries them.

Quarter 4 Blog Post 2

In the story Shawn's father had left him when he was young. Every time Shawn had a seizer he didn't like it and didn't want to do anything. Since he left, Shawn's mother has been mostly there for Shawn because of the problems Shawn has been having. Shawn sees his father as a bad influence in his life and he barely sees his father when he visits the family. Every time he visits the family, his brother and sister Paul and Cindy are there watching over Shawn.



Shawn likes to imagine lots of things he wishes he could do. Most of the things he wishes is to walk, run, and speak. He would be happy if he does. He feels ashamed for not having those abilities.

Tolerance

Tolerance - The ability or willingness to allow the existence, occurrence, or something in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessary agree with.

• How can you be more tolerant of others?
• What does tolerance mean to you?
• How can you live a more tolerant life?
• Tell about an experience you've had with tolerance or intolerance. How did it affect you?
• How will you new understanding of tolerance shape you and your actions in the future?

Tolerance means to me is to just not care what negative things that people are saying to you. Just look at the bright side and don't look back at the negative things that happened and don't let others change who you are and just be yourself.

Quarter 4 Blog Post 1

In the story "Stuck In Neutral" the main character is Shawn and he has a disability that isn't curable and he has to live like this for the rest of his life. Shawn wants to has a normal life as everyone else but has to life the one he has. When he's angry he blames it on his disability that he has. Almost every problem he, has he blames it all on his disability.

Shawn is determined because what he wants to do he tries but couldn't achieve on what he wants. He is also very imaginative because most of his life he dreams on what he wishes he could do in his life.

Quarter 3 Blog Post 8

In the book Road Rash the band is signing up in a event that they want to compete in. They want to to try to see if they're better than the other bands that are against them. They know that they're real good bands because they were all accepted in the event. Zach tells his band to practice to hopefully win against the others. They hope to reach victory in 1st place.

The characters in the book are determined because they practice more and more. They hope this will help them to be good and win against the other teams that they're up against. They will only achieve 1st place and take no for last place. They try to improve their skills and hope for the best. Only the best band will win 1st place.

Quarter 3 Blog Post 7

As Albert grew up, he starter to study more and more hoping he will be accepted to university and show him his work. He sent his documents to one near where he lives and they didn't accepted him in. He got his papers back and wrote one sentence at the end on the work he showed. He turned the papers back in and accepted him. He was grateful that he was accepted ind all because he wrote down one sentence in the end of his work.

His character traits are determined because he won't give up on his work even if they didn't believe him. Intelligent because the work he had shown had changed the way we see science. Proud because he was able to show his understanding of science and math. 

Quarter 3 Blog Post 6

Albert Einstein was a smart scientist and his discoveries change the way we look at science. On of his discoveries was that looking through a telescope, light bends the object we see in space. Two scientists wanted to prove his discovery so they both went to different places and looked at a Lunar Eclipse. They wrote notes on what they saw and brought it back to the lab to see if their calculations were correct. To their astonishment Albert Einstein was correct that light bends objects we see far away.

Einstein was a brilliant scientist and his discoveries were brilliant. Everyone thought he was making everything up in his head but when it came to prove his theories, they were correct and helped new ways to discover new things. Later scientist started to use his methods and used them for everyday life. One of Einsteins famous discovery was E=mc3 which was to calculate how fast is something moving in motion.

Quarter 3 Blog Post 5

When Albert Einstein was younger, his parents thought he was slow because when someone asked him a question, he would mumble the answer under his breath until he was satisfied about the answer he's about to give. As he went to school, he would only attend to the subjects he was interested in like science and math. In the other classes he wouldn't learn the subjects and would leave to the hall and teach himself only math and science. Later in his life he made friends and they would help him to learn the subjects that he was not interested and learn. If he had a problem in one of the classes he would ask for help from one of his friends and if they need help understanding in science and math he'll help them in return. He was above average in science and math and could work out really complicated problems in his head.

Albert Einstein's character traits when he was young is stubborn and unwise to do. He would only attend the classed that interests him and wouldn't study other classes. He was highly intelligent in math and science.

Quarter 3 Blog Post 2

In the story Zach is having a hard time with his friends on what to do in the summer. He was starting to have second thoughts on the summer he wanted and wanted to spend time with his best buds. After Zach is mad on not spending the summer the way he wanted, he starts to see a certain girls that he likes and his band tries to snap him back to spend time together.

This is an internal conflict because Zach is losing interest with spending his time with his band and his friends are trying to get him to focused on what they were doing. His band then starts to get mad at him and are trying to get him to focus on there band. Every time he sees this certain girl, Zach starts to lose focus.

Quarter 3 Blog Post 3

In the story Zach is loosing focus in his band and his friends are trying to get him back to who he was. They try their hardest and than they get mad because they think its impossible to turn him back to who he before the summer vacation. He then starts to have second thoughts about what he should do while his friends want to help him.

I can make a connection, over the summer vacation I had lots of fun and when I came back to school I forgot everything that I learned. It felt like everything came out from my brain because I couldn't remember what I needed to do in school.

Quarter 3 Blog Post 4

In the story Zach starts to have problems with his band and they think they should kick him out the band. Zach then starts to get mad at his friends for doing that to him even though he was the leader of the band. Zach then thinks he should't be friends with his band anymore so he leaves them and work it out. While he is walking he starts to think on what he should have done better than what he did.

I think they did this because it might make him focus more and that this is the only chance that they have to do. I would do the same if I needed someone to focus more on a certain thing. Even if it hurts the person but it would help them think on what they should do better on what they did.

Quarter 3 Blog Post 1

In the story Zach wanted the best summer with his band. Zach then makes a list on what he wants to do with his band for the summer and wanted to have fun. Later in the summer Zach starts to  notice a problem that he is going thought and his band is getting mad because they want him to stay on track with the list they want to do.

I can make a connection with this section of this story by remembering the summer I wanted to have with my cousins but it didn't go as planned as I wanted to. Then I need to just go with the flow and make the summer fun without making a list on what to do. Now I don't care really what to do in the summer and just make it fun with the people around me.
